Subject Areas
The students have the following Special Area Subjects once a week:
Library - During this class, the students learn how to use the library and are able to borrow items on a weekly basis from our extensive collection of children’s books and DVDs.
Music - Music is an important part of our curriculum and songs and movement are included in our daily lessons to reinforce academics and social skills. A formal music class is taught once a week and includes the use of rhythm instruments and tone chimes. The children are instructed in music notation and experience different styles of music.
Physical Education - We have a large gym and a beautiful playground area for our students to enjoy. During gym time the students experience activities which help develop social skills, coordination, balance, flexibility and strength. We also have a Nature Trail located on the church grounds.
Chapel - Our students attend Chapel with our Pastor once a week and during this time the Bible theme of the week is introduced. Chapel time also includes music which reinforces the theme of the week.
